Join the Committee

Amongst other things, at the AGM we will be electing a new committee for 2026-2027. Being a committee member is a great chance to influence the club’s direction and development, and to give back and contribute to the club’s success. You will be supported in post by other committee members and (of course) a wonderful membership, and the time commitment involved is less than often expected.

Members are encouraged to nominate themselves for any committee post they would be interested in. However, we would particularly welcome nominations for the posts of Co-Chair and Club Secretary.

Co-Chair
Work in partnership with the other Co-Chair to ensure the overall success of the club.

– Ensure the club provides a range of running events and social activities that gives an opportunity for all members to take part.
– Propose the club’s annual plan and budget
– Support and encourage committee members in the fulfilment of their duties

For details, contact chair@dulwichparkrunners.co.uk.

Club Secretary
To ensure smooth administration of the club.

– Organise and minute committee meetings (every two months) and the Annual General Meeting (AGM).
– Review and organise updates to the club rules
– Manage the nominations procedure for committee posts, and
the process for London Marathon ballots

For details, contact secretary@dulwichparkrunners.co.uk.

If you would like to submit yourself for a committee post, you need to notify Emma as club secretary at secretary@dulwichparkrunners.co.uk, and ask two members of the club to propose and second your nomination by one week before the AGM (i.e. 17 February).

Fill a Non-Committee Post

In addition to committee posts, there are a number of important roles outside of the committee which members take on to contribute to the running of the club. With thanks to incumbents who have filled roles over the past year, we will be looking for help with the roles of Summer League Co-Captain, Parkrun Ladder Coordinator, Website Editor and Second Welfare Officer.

Summer League Co-Captain: Work with Nat Lowis to promote Summer League fixtures and organise the home fixture in Dulwich Park on 12 July 2026.

Parkrun Ladder Coordinator: Plan and run two competitions each year, agreeing the rules and dates with the committee.

Second Welfare Officer: Support and provide cover for the Welfare Office to make sure the club meets the standards published by England Athletics

Website Editor: Keep the website up to date relevant, well organised and attractive

If you would like to know more about any of these roles, please contact chair@dulwichparkrunners.co.uk.

Formal Notice of Club Annual General Meeting (AGM)

This is formal notice of the Dulwich Park Runners AGM which will take place at 8pm on Tuesday 24th February – location tbc

The agenda and reports will be circulated in advance of the meeting. All members are invited to attend and have their say on club matters as well as vote in new members of the Committee, receive the club's Committee report and financial statement, and agree the subscription fees for the coming year.

Any other items for the agenda should be sent to the Club Secretary, Emma Pond, (secretary@dulwichparkrunners.co.uk) by Saturday 14 February 2026 to be sure of inclusion. Minor items of any other business will be allowed on the day at the discretion of the Chair depending on the time available.

We will also vote in the Committee for 2026/27. Members are encouraged to stand for any role they may be interested in – as a growing club, we need committee members to help the club offer as much as possible to our membership. Please speak to one of the current committee members if you would like further details about the committee posts. Further details will also be set out in the next newsletter.

Members must be nominated (by one member) and seconded (by another member) if they wish to stand for a committee position. All nominations should be emailed to Emma Pond (secretary@dulwichparkrunners.co.uk) by midnight on Saturday 14 February 2026.

A copy of the agenda and nominations will be emailed to all members and posted on this website no later than 17th February, one week before the AGM.

We hope that as many members as possible will join us for the AG
