Stronger Running - Practical Strength Training Session for Runners
Friday 25th September | 60–75 minutes | Fitology Hub Peckham
Running places a lot of demand on the body — particularly through the hips, glutes, calves, feet and core. Strength work can help you feel more powerful and resilient, improve running efficiency, and reduce the niggles that so often interrupt consistency.
This practical workshop is for runners of all abilities who want to understand how to use strength training to support their running — whether you’re training for an event, returning after time away, or simply want to feel stronger and more confident on your runs.
We’ll cover:
- The key areas runners benefit most from strengthening
- How to build stronger glutes, hamstrings, hips and core for better running mechanics
- Useful exercises for single-leg strength, stability and control
- How to support hip-flexor strength and improve resilience through the lower body
- How to fit strength work around your running without feeling like you need to train every day
- Simple ways to progress exercises at home or in the gym
This won’t be a lecture or a punishing workout. It will be practical, supportive and accessible, with plenty of opportunity to try the exercises, ask questions and leave with a clear plan for what to include in your own week.
No previous strength-training experience needed — just wear comfortable clothes you can move in.
Price: £10.
