Joining DPR

If you like the sound of Dulwich Park Runners we’d be please to welcome you along to the club, but please read through the information below, which we hope will answer any questions you may have.

Will I be fit enough?
We have a wide range of running abilities in the club, but we suggest that as a minimum you are able to run 5 miles in an hour, if you can do 10 in an hour, we’ll be struggling to keep up with you, but you’re still welcome! If you feel this may be beyond you then can we suggest one of our Beginners Courses.

Will I have someone to run with?
Of course! We’re a friendly bunch and each running group has a leader to ensure no one gets left behind.

When can I come along?
So we can welcome you, and put you into a suitable running group for your ability, we ask that your first visit to the club be any Tuesday evening EXCEPT the first one of the month (this is our handicap race night where we run a set course individually). Please arrive on your first visit for 7:30pm so we can welcome you, and introduce you to your running group.

What else do I need to know?
Anyone considering joining the club is invited to run with us for three sessions before paying their membership fee. So we know a little bit about you please complete the New Joiners Form (in PDF or DOCX) and bring it with you on your first visit.
