Joining DPR

If you like the sound of Dulwich Park Runners we’d be please to welcome you along to the club. We’ve put some information below which we hope will answer any questions you may have.

Will I be fit enough?
We have a wide range of running abilities in the club but if you can run for 30-40 minutes already you should be to join one of our groups on a Tuesday. If you feel this may be beyond you then can we suggest one of our Beginners Courses.

Will I have someone to run with?
Of course! We’re a friendly bunch and each running group has a leader to ensure no one gets left behind.

When can I come along?
We meet at 7:30pm on Tuesday evenings. Most weeks we form groups on the night based on how far we want to go (typically 4-7 miles) and how fast (typically 8:45 – 12:00 minute miles). On the first Tuesday of every month the club runs a handicap race around Dulwich Park. Following the race we head over to the Dulwich Beer Dispensary just up the road on Lordship Lane for a few well earned drinks and we’re always happy to welcome new runners to the handicap race or the pub!

What else do I need to know?
Anyone considering joining the club is invited to run with us for three sessions before paying their membership fee. So we know a little bit about you please complete the New Joiners Form (in PDF or DOCX) and bring it with you on your first visit.
